air con re-gas kits

Hi

has anyone ever used one of these air con charge cans?

I've used one a few years back on my mates Astra, but my megane and her scenic only have high pressure ports!

:coffee: now i've seen kits on ebay that connect to this, but i'm a it :scratch: about using them

Anyone got any thoughts????

the amount of gas that you have in one will not totally fill the ac system. i think they only have about 400g of r134a in them - thats in the big cans.
the high pressure port thing is abit of bullpoo on renaults part as im pretty sure it still connects to the low side of the cars ac system, ie before the compressor.
better off biting the bullet and getting it properly filled. - must be about £40 around wrexham? then use the can to keep it topped up - assuming you have a leak. ;)

been quoted £50 to £90!!! think i'll just get it done! its just a pain as i'm still waiting for my bumper to be painted! :ashamed:
