so this evening i decided to take my lil five (freddie) out for a drive and i put the key in the ignition as you do started it up to let it warm up. i then drove it out of the garage onto the drive i turned it off as i had a few bits to do in the house. ithen went to pull out the key . . . . . . . now here is my problem , the key wouldnt come out of the ignition barrel? iv never experienced this befor with anycar. and i have no idea on what to do with a barrel? its just stuck? any ideas or can anyone help?

This happened to mine the other week, give the steering wheel a wiggle and it may come out. I couldn't get mine out or turn it so had to remove the whole lot and replace the lot :(

Maybe try to give it some WD40.

I had a problem with mine a little while back it was the steering lock not letting the key out pull the steering wheel as well as giving the key a wriggle.

Yeah easy enough mate, just need to remove the steering coulmn covers, unplug the ignition barrel and like Michael says, turn the key and press in the two barbs that hold the barrel into the column and push it out.

I think I have a spare barrel with key in the loft if you need one?
