hi there peps
what do people do when there 5 turbo is in storage. as mine is my second car how do you secure your car and keep everything charged up. are there any useful items i can purchase

I will start it up, drive it around and enjoy driving during winter. Even driven out in the snow with these cars :D

If you do want to sort it out, make sure you have enough coolant with correct amount of anti-freeze in there, oil is topped up, disconnect the battery possibly keep that on a trickle charger and put it up on stands if you dont want to flatten the wheels, plus keep the handbrake off so the rears dont lock up due to no use.

I'm charging mine up every 2 weeks, but it away after I got back from Nurburgring all ready for next year, unless we get some Sun out but I really doubt it :(

mine was much more reliable when it was my daily... lack of use tends to break bits :laugh:

mine will spend the winter in my workshop being used to pattern a number of new parts :coffee:

Sits in a Carcoon (handbrake off, doors and boot slightly ajar, car cover to help keep the light out) in a dehumidified blacked out and alarmed garage all winter .... and for that matter for the rest of the time too. Shares the space with the two Mini's and a GD Turbo.
