Hi guys

I have just brought a new radiator for my 5 gtt as the old one was leaking. After comparing the new one to the existing one, the new one is slightly different. On the existing one there are two extra connections below the top hose (possibly transmission cooling??) as in the picture below but the new one hasnt got these connections. Does this mean I have brought the wrong radiator and need a new one with these connections or is there some way around it?

its for the oil cooler, gtt has one and campus doesnt. how much did you pay for it and where from?

I brought it for £100 off ebay. I wish I had asked for advice on here first.

you could still use it, but you will need to fit a oil cooler which will set you back another 100 quid or so.

you can buy an oil cooler that will solve the problem

quack quack oops, you are gonna need an oil cooler with that mate. you can get some of the china rads with the oil cooler in the rad but thats doesnt have it.

the fan switch is also welded over so you wont have a fan. its sh1t, sent it back.

:agree: send it back mate. proper valeo is the way to go, got a proper good second hand one for £70 + postage if your after one

Its not welded over mate, its got a plug screwed in. Im going to see if I can send it back.

Thanks mate I might take you up on that. Is it in good condition then? How come your getting rid?
How much postage to DE13 0SU?

just tell them it wont fit, if they refuse a refund take it up with paypal. its a misleading advert as it mentions nothing of having to fit a oil cooler.

^^^^ totaly agree, fist step speak to them to see if they are going to be reasonable about it, assuming they dont sort it out without expense to yourself then just open a item not as described dispute with ebay/paypal you may be required to return the item at your own expense though, bit of a bugger if it has to go back to china, so if i was realy annoyed with them and wanted to get my own back i would send them back a small empty box that is tracked so that you can provide tracking details to say its been returned, get refunded then sell the part on

Good idea :) I have emailed them asking if I can return it so we'll see what happens. Hopefully they'll be ok about it.

I will lol. This is my 1st 5 gtt and just thought it would be ok as the description is for 5 gtt.

it looks like a pile of poop......................i bet it will last 5 minutes in a track car.................i bet the ali is crap quality................i dont know why people by gear from china? look at the turbos and the silicone hose sets from china that members have had fall apart:cry::cry::coffee: and another thing the campus like the gt uses an aluminium radiator from the factory as ali is cheap............ what you have bought is a std campus rad made to pattern................
