What power will the 500cc ones be good for on an F7R turbo motor?
If they are suitable then I might buy them from you.
About 320 @ 3 bar, 80% duty iirc.

I had a look at this http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php4
Says they are good for between 230 and 250bhp depending on the BSFC %.
Bit of a difference.
Maybe they are more then, they were in Robbies (turbo teds) F7P bengine which maxed them @ 18psi & made 320hp
Plus people run 802's & have 250 bhp, they are alot less.

Meggy turbo ones are 390cc I think, good enough for 280+ bhp on my sc Clio

I looked up the 802's on google and they say 280cc for them which that site equates to about 175bhp so I doubt its that accurate. :)
What power are you looking for as I was only looking for about 300 on my F7R Turbo.
How much you wanting for them?

:wasntme: I haven't said I'm deffo selling yet, like I say I am just wondering about the injectors I posted up, only just fitted them to the car today & need to run the car up & see how I get on with whatever power I get before I decide, I was just looking at options if I go bigger :cooter:
When they are for sale they will be £150.
Obviously if I find something bigger in the meantime I will give you a shout :agree: .

Cool beans matey. :D
Only have 802's at the moment but they will do for initial run in period at minimal boost.

Thats what I'm thinking about these injectors
Just having a look at stock at seeing what injectors we have, have got 2 803 injectors and 6 x 355 injectors which are light grey ones rated at 300cc I believe. More than likely got more but without the bosch numbers to search for im not entirely sure what else there is.
I doubt we'd find an off the shelf 600+cc injector easily... that would be a direct replacement.. but then I'm new to EFI :cooter:
On my rover I had some siemens 660cc things... high impedance I think.

I didn't think I would find the cosworth greys on the shelf at work but I did :D

I dont know if its any use , but the 21turbos use the 802s are standard , the 357 injectors as a stop gap until a remap on 803s ...
Is there any difference fitment wise between the injectors on F7P/R and F4R's as I ran a set of siemens 630cc injectors on my Clio 182 which were direct fit.

Not as far as I know, I'll look out for some, I suppose it's only a case of changing from low to high impedance on the ECU.

The f4r injectors are mini pico thing's the F7 are big Bosch type you could use either on either car with standalone but you would need a custom fuel rail.

just a quick one bosch 803's (the cossie ones 380cc) will make about 14p.s.i but mine are at 97% duty, bigger injectors req please :D

If you try that site with 0.55 BSFC then it looks about right. 320hp on 500cc's in Robbies came up at 90% duty, 3 bar rail pressure.
In Russells car (steer from the rear) we hit 97% at about 14psi which I figure is about 250hp. He has 380cc injectors @ 3bar.
Unless it's a drag car or something for doing short sprints you don't want to be going much past 80%. So for 300hp in a track car you want 550cc injectors. :)

Have a look at this lot Dale and see if any of the biggies are in stock.

That site says .55-.60 is supercharged and .60-.65 is turbo. Why the difference? Is it the drag on the crank from the supercharger?
The other thing worth mentioning is that 500cc+ on old Bosch EV1's is getting a bit lairy. They're not very good at low duty for idle and part throttle. If you don't mind spending a little bit more, buy some modern seimens deka. They come in different sizes, Bosch replacement, and are a world better than the old Bosch (EG, cosworth grey).

I don't agree with their numbers, thats a very rough rule of thumb they're suggesting.
BSFC is how well the engine is able to turn fuel in to power, so since supercharging and turbocharging reduce efficiency by loading the crank or restricting the exhaust, BSFC rises (gets worse). I should add that lowered compression and richer AFR is another factor they're probably trying to account for. In the real world the numbers arn't that bad :)
Might have to take a look at what my map says on the 5 as my car is running 15psi with those green 380cc injectors

At the moment courtney's are selling Astra VXR injectors new for £150 ish. They're good for 320hp or so in the F7P.

Yes. :agree:
You could try a search for the vauxhal/Opell part number and see how much they are in you local dealer in Malta rather than pay for postage from the uk. :)
