hi people hope some 1 can help am having a problem with my gtt in the past few days my gtt has sounded like a bus when you turn the key on turn over and the starter motor kept getting stuck so i thought it was the starter motor.
so i have fitted a brand new starter motor today but its still the same grrrrrrrrr so i no thats not my problem. its had a brand new clutch in the last 1000 miles by the previous owner.
ok ill explain while turning the car over it sounds nasty like somethings catching or loose some were but when the car is running it sounds fine goes it gear fine and no noise its just while turning it over it sounds horrible and am scared to use it it case something is gona fall to bits
like i said its fine when running and drives fine hope some 1 can help i have posted a video on you tube so people can hear it if you listen at the start of the vid about 8 seconds you will hear the horrible noise?

Were the locating dowels in place?
You can inspect the ring gear without removing the gearbox, best place to do so is under the car.

Sh1t.....:crap:....pretty bad?

When I fitted Matt C (Jesus in the seat of a 5) Quaife gearbox, I didnt take the engine out, but some people prefer to take the whole lot out and separate the gearbox from the engine that way.

Fly wheel only fits one way, as bolt holes only all line up in one position.
