Given the mediocre turn-out of rtoc'ers on track etc at the ND there a few years back, and the fact you'd be v-max'ing a GTT by halfway of the main straight, I don't see what Brunters could offer us?

There's 3 trackdays coming up if you feel the need to blow the cobwebs off your car again ;) :)

oh well just thought it could be a good idea, pretty much central to everyone, can't ever recall it done before.

Not via rtoc, no mate *

As said, it was a mediocre turn-out of people on track at ND, the traffic light/0-60 trial fell on its ass, I don't recall the top speed challenge taking place, or if it did, A) not many people ran, and B) a GTT top speed isn't going to be anything special anyway, and hence that, coupled with costs, is why we've not been back since.

* Several of us ran there for a magazine shoot-out (1/4 mile, top speed, etc) back in the day, but the surface was that cr8p, most of the 1/4 mile times set were circa 2-3 seconds slower than at Pod.

Sorry mate, not trying to p1ss in your soup, but just telling it as it was from last time we were there.

Millbrook might be a better option...

Mart, I wouldn't call 105 people on track that day mediocre and 25 people used the 0-60 + top speed run. The biggest drama was it being spread out too much for the overall attendance and a mistake on my part by not signposting the 0-60 properly.
I have done a few track days at Brunters with various layouts and chicanes added to suit the cars on hand. Best one was in the TS (shed 7)
Its too rough on tyres due to the surface, low noise levels for trackdays (98db) and high hiring price have basically put it out the market for most people.

Depends what you want to do .
RAOC hire it for test days 3 times a year .It can be a good day out ,we do all sorts of power/speed runs in the morning and track stuff in the afternoon .You need have indemnity cover to do timing etc .
Normally we have 10 ish cars there for about £100 a pop for members .
