When I fitted a new waterpump to the head I could not get purchase on two bolts. These are quite important as the pump weeps when warm and not ideal. Anyone any experience of this or where to get helicoil repair from?!

Cheers.

You can get kits for not alot of money. I got one from the local autoparts place.

Cheers. Just looked on eBay and can see some reasonably priced kits. Any ideas on size? Quite a thin bolt aren't they?

Standard M6 pitch is 1mm i.e. M6x1.0 The bolts that hold the water pump on are M6x1.0

Don't go buying helicoil kits G, I've got loads at work.

I'm off this week but if you want to whip the head off we can pop down and helicoil it at some point.
