i am currently awaiting monies etc etc blah blah. and i have been offered payment via a bank transfer by a newish member on renault5gtturbo.com. i have recieved bank transfers before but have recieved them from more trusted members on here.
and i wonder is there any risks any help advice would be great

The risk is he will have your bank details:(Can you not go via paypal or even go old skool postall order :)

but could he/any1 do anything with the bank details other than give me dosh.
paypal is defo a way i use and we had agreed to pay like that, then had a message from him to say he is having problems with paypal.i have asked what the problem is with paypal.awaiting a reply from him didnt think of postal order.
the person in question only has a post count of 9 ( hence why i not to keen on the idea) and has been a member since june

I tend to use bank transfers quite regularly. I'm fairly sure that there are no risks associated with he/she having the information required, as it's only your account number and sort code. The sort code is just the code for the branch generally..... I wouldn't be too worried about using it

I use bank transfers all the time, however I use an account that has no money in it and has no overdraft facility at all. This means that there is no risk of having money taken as there is never anything in it. :)
