After a full day i managed to relise and remove the three aftercrap wheel trims

Then contintued to waste what crap petrol/deisel mix that was in tank.

The story was the guy i got car from he is a mechanic. he was given and paid £200 as a token to a dear old lady who was no longer permitted to drive.

18.000miles in 24 years it has been moted and tax and drove 300-1000 mile each year of its life except first two years where it did a 4000miles.

he emptys tanks for people who put wrong fuel in then has used it in this car as it was a car he and his lad used and as a second car so was arsed about it running round the shop not running 100%.

New fresh petrol and it run and drives like a very old but NEW car

Here it is...:wasntme:

Cheers for comments

I really couldnt belive it untill i seen it. I got told about and was thinkin ermm i'd buy that.

Then it came true and it is better that i could have ever have imagined haha :ashamed: am like a kid with new toy only what should i do ?

turbo it or maintain and keep standard :coffee:

It is really a hard choice, it owes me nothing now and i didnt buy it for quick profit so i guess it will have a new engine at some point unless i put it away in storage. it is really hard for me to ruin it :wasntme: why is this :cartman:

Lol, ace. :agree: Look at the size of the side wall on those tyres!

Are they seats from a R19 16v exec?

Hi Dave - I had exactly the same dilema with my 11 GTL just over a year ago. It was so original I didn't have the heart to stick a turbo lump in it.

Wish I had now.

Have a look at Markey B's efforts as he throws a supercharged 172 lump in me old 11.

Keep it standard looking with some sweet arse power and watch the look on the bigger BMW / Audi motors as you leave them for dead.

Next on the adgenda - stopping!

some cu*t has bumped my car and drove off

minor damage, to front passenger corner of bumber pushed in a little and a smashed head light to go with it

What i cant understand is how the head light has broke and where to get a new one

I really cant justify claiming for the damage caused it would probs be a write off and effect all my insurence when i could just fix and be happy with the result.

13/80/155 - I think Trev :D it is surprising how it handles on moterway comfy car :smokin:

The seats are from Renault 21 turbo. I have had these seats since i owned and sold my last r9. that was before i got a Gtt and joined up here some 7 -8 years ago.

NOT STOPPING BEING THE talking point, been away for 2 day in it hasnt misssed a beat and someone bumped it and drove off.

I think a 172 engine would be the best route without a supercharger. just want a bit more power and a car thats not to much hassel.

Sorry to hear you regrett your sale of your gtl 11.

It's a keeper i love it :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: :smokin:

Loving the seats on it Dave , how the hell did you manage to get them in ??? i was strugling with 19 16v ones . That must be tight ??

Also regarding classic insurance , how old are you ? is this on a limited milage basis ?
are you using any no claims ?

replied your pm by the way mate :agree:

29 year old - classic policy - on limited mileage YES

21 seats bolted straight in using the holes at front of seat rails and measuring back. After drilling the holes on the rails at the back side they bolted in with same patten as the OE seats. I had sold these seats and fitted them to a mates gtt  tight ;)

I ended up buying another gtt to break with my seats back.

Cheers regarding lights or light ;)

TDC sensor,

would this or could this be and cause a intermittent fault ?

I have one of a gtt and it wont fit. but carefully cut a slot in plactic male plug and hey pesto is fit and works, if it dont fail again i know this is the fix and a tdc can have intermittent fault i really dont know :cartman:

Problem is yet to happen again. a good check over everywhere else and cant see any problems maybe just a loose conection somwhere
