:sad2: Fired the 5 up the other day to give it a wash, etc.....

It wasn't bad at 2 grand whilst warming up, but refused to tick over.

It was all over the place and just died after 15 mins or so of ticking over.

Do they do this or is it a carb re-build jobby.

It was perfect before it was stood for a couple of months.

unscrew it and squirt carb cleaner down there, also take the idle screw apart and and give the bits a quick blast.

also check if the idle screw has a seal. if it hasnt it may not idle properly.

im actually unsure if the idle screw came with a seal fitted as standard??
can someone confirm this?

I think it's got a little black o-ring on it if it's the same screw i'm thinking of........

But i don't remember being able to take it apart???

I'll check it out tomorrow.
Cheers for that mate, appreciated.

check the plugs for fouling/crap etc

and generally the ignition system for excess moisture etc etc

give the carb a good once over like raj just said
