as above,just got a used set of samco hoses, have given them a quick wash with soapy water thay came out ok but still have black marks on them looks like tar or underseal.tried a tar remover but it started to make them sticky.what do you use

wd40 works well. breaks down the grease and leaves them shiney.

Wd40 is good as well as petrol but a little more dangerous gets them clean tho. ;):smokin:

Tesco Daisy All Purpose Cleaner is really good.
Also, the cheap Astonish Engine Degreaser is brilliant for 99p.

I've put some in the dishwasher before and they came up pretty well :wasntme:

Baby wipes! ...or kitchen wipes ...honestly...it gets rid of the grime :smokin:

i also used petrol on mine came up a treat :laugh:

dont use petrol it will break up the silicone pipe.........................washing up liquid works well...any one who has a silicone oil return pipe from the turbo to the sump will note that it is rubber lined internally......which is why they cost so much for so little..............

autoglym tar and glue remover and some elbow grease works for me

thanks for all your suggestions, have tried wd40 on some of the hoses works great but leaves them a bit sticky (cats furr stuck on them),will go out and get some baby wipes and compare the two
