PH1 and PH2 steering rack difference?

The rack on my Ph1 seems to be bigger than my ph 2 one? The clamps that hold it to the subframe seem meatier too.

Has anyone noticed this or could it be from another car?

I was searching the forum yesterday about steering issues as I have a knocking noise and I've found that there are are (at least) 2 different steering racks:

Different mounting, different joint.
But I still do not know what is causing the knocking noise... :(

Thanks for the info. The rack fitted to my PH1 is no. 2 in the drawing. Seems a more robust rack. Anyone know why?

I have the same under my phase I. But on my phase II ('91) no. 1 is fitted.
