Hi everybody.

Has everyone noticed how slow and rubbish the site has been of late? YOU HAVE???? ;)
Well you'll all be glad to hear that wheels are in motion to move hosting companies and upgrade the site.

Provisionally, i'm going to say that we're going to take the site offline at 10am on Thursday for a few hours whilst the site is migrated.
Whilst this seems quite soon, i'm reasonably confident that we'll hit the deadline. Worst case it'll be next week.

After the site migration i'd like everyones feedback regarding areas of the site that are missing (gasp!), and general performance feedback on the site.

Once we're all settled with the new hosts, we'll plan the site upgrade... More details to follow.

Also we need the region map thing which allows us to see all fellow members in our postcode area. It will make it much easier for the average member to organise regional meets, i.e communal PMs/emailing to all local members in your postcode, finding a more central meeting place for easier access for all local members. I have no idea what members are in my local area, especially new comers.

It will also help new members find physical help with fixing their cars within their local area.

Area Reps could use it to contact members, who perhaps dont frequent RTOC as often as others, in order to keep local members up to date via email with local events/meets happening in their area :-)
