Well i guess the car's had this problem for quite some time.. The pic does make it look a right state!

You can pretty much see from the pics where the fuel is coming from, but i'll just add that when looking up the anti perc fan plastic tubing at the carb end that appears to be full of gunk and a fuel line runs up there. What would be the best action to take with this? i have no fueling or running problems but i guess i'm running the risk of becoming a ball of flames rather than a super clean r5 turbo.

I should invest inm the carb rebuild kit that will help the situation but what about whats going off with the line that runs up the perc fan?

i wouldn't worry about the tube it's just there to guide the fuel line to the base of the carb, it's held on with one nut iirc and then just a case of sliding the fuel line out when you take it off the carb, then just clean it like you would any oily part.

if you're not having fueling problems then i doubt it would be worth rebuilding the carb, you could just replace the copper washer from the bowl drain to stop the leak if it's coming from there but after another look your fuel line is held on by a zip tie, you really need a jubilee clip on it and that's probably where your leak is from

I like the sound of a simple route.. A clean up and a jubilee clip it is. If it persists i'll change the washer on the bowl drain. Cheers Dude!

That's not the fuel pipe it's the boost reference pipe for the accelerator pump - doesn't need a jubilee clip. The larger pipe above is the fuel line.

I'd be replacing the copper washer around the fuel bowl bolt, clean the area up and check again for leaks. :)

I wondered how long it would take for someone to spot my mistake :ashamed:

From memory only the fuel line runs up the perc pipe and just assumed that was what the pic was of
