I didn't even bother trying to get mine working, just binned it off and used a ford coil and HT leads.

I kept hearing that the stock packs were unreliable and cost a fortune when they pack up :(

What management you planning on using?

For the £40 he charged I just went with the coil packs Scoff sells, easy & cheap enough to replace should it go down, 172 leads will fit in with a push aparently :)

i have his old 172 coil pack here and i ran the same on my turbo 2 efi, its just the fact the coil pack is built into the rocker cover and i like it the renault spiders use them too :agree: just dont want ht leads

well steve looks like you jinxed it lol ive spent 2 days convincing myself my wireing looms wrong as i kept blowing a fuse, had the meter in checking the continuity of all my wires and they all went to the correct locations

ive been trying to find the diagram for the coil pack of a 172 or 182 but as it is i plugged my clio sport coil pack in the loom and the fuse didnt blow so i just need to double check the plug connctions on a sport coil pack are that of a megane which then means the megane coil pack is crap and yes they are unreliable
