There must be the need out there, do you have a vacuum mould or something? I'll be up for a pair- obviously as long as not a silly price but then something that makes it worth your time.

i run a company that does composites molding, to keep price at an acceptable level the most suitable material we use would probably be a wet layup glass mat with polyester resin

what do people think a sensible price for a pair would be ?

Seiger said he paid 25 notes, I would be happy with that.

unfortunately thats where the problem with this kind of thing lies,
at a conservative estimate its likely to cost

cost of aquiring a good set of covers £25-£50
cost of making those perfect enough to make good quality molds from £150-£200
cost of making, trimming and polishing the molds £200

costs before making anything £375-£450
to recover that on selling 20 sets of covers would add £18.75-£22.50 per set

then to make a set

materials approx £7-£10
labour as a business we have to cost for gross wages as part of the hourly rate will be tax and NI contributions
1/2 hour for a skilled laminator approx £20
1 hour for trimming and finishing £30

then anything we sell we have to put 20% on as the VAT man wants his cut

Sounds like a lot of hassle to cover costs/ make it worth while for you. In the short term I'm going to spend one evening sanding it Down and see what it turns out like.
