Fuel guage warning light

Should the warning light illuminate when the ignition is clicked round but not started?

all my oil and brake etc lights come on (as well as my oil warning light on guage) but not the light on the fuel guage.

is this right or has the bulb gone? i have never seen the light come on thinking about it :crap:

it's right. this bulb go on only when the fuel low in tank. I think about 7 litres.
