Does anyone have any part numbers renault or others for suspension top mounts and inner steering control arms? I need to replace these on my phase 1 11 turbo as they are past their best :(

Does anyone know if top mounts are the same for phase 1 and phase 2?

Also, according to haynes manual, steering control arms are slightly different for phase 1 and 2 models which could be another potential problem :confused:

I double checked on the fiche,and it's the same part number for phase 1 & 2 :)

Found some inner control arms on fleabay for £13 a side from Doctor Car parts, says its for all Renault 11's, are the steering racks different on turbo models compared to normal 11's? :confused:

They will fit but they are smaller than the ones that are on my turbo, so unless you can get longer trackrod ends they are no good.

Is your rack bolded to the car with C shaped clamps or does the rack have the brackets welded to it?

Same as mine then.

As i said, them from doctor car parts are smaller than the original ones by about 30mm.

Inner track control arm - 77 01 462 540 is the original renault ones.

ok ta for that,bought some others on ebay from aep motor parts,they are referenced with renault part no ending 540 so hope they wont be too short!

Ta mate, good price on the rack, tempted if what ive bought are too short. Well the tie rods ends I bought from AEP was referenced to Renault part No. ending 540 however I have not checked length against old ones on car, any ideas what length replacement ones should be?

The old original one i took off mine is 300mm and the new one i bought from doc car parts was 270mm, so was quite abit shorter.

ok,so did you have to use longer track rod ends?ive just measured the new tie rod ends i bought,-1 is 270mm & the other 300mm,is this right?! i was told they were a pair:confused:

To be honest ive not touched the drivers side one so dont know if its the same size or not.

When i have bought them in the past ive never been asked what side its for, so i suppose they are the same size.

I ended up buying a 2nd hand rack off a fellow member and only had to replace the nylon bush on the passenger side.

I still have that brand new 270mm one here but its no use.

Hmmm...Is it a turbo rack? any differences between turbo and non turbo rack fella :coffee:
