Am I correct in thinking that you cant get the valeo clutch in the green box from GSF anymore???

If so, what clutches are people using? and are they any good, as I want to change mine soon.

Thanks:)

In my opinion mate it all depends on what power you going to try to run .... i had a valeo volvo uprated jobbie and it lasted about 2000 miles before it started to slip above 16psi on a gt28r ... now i have a ap paddle ... jaffa sorted me one out ... valeo volvo cover on it ... drives good in my opinon and not too harsh at all.

If you thinking along the lines of 180+ BHP ... i would go the paddle route .... wish i had first time. :)

Ive been considering clutches, and we usually use transmech, allways been a very good product, never had an issue, and it cost just over £30 for the full kit new not reman, for a 480 turbo 200mm, so im gona give it a try, nothing to loose, they'll replace it no quibble if its no good, ill see what power it works up to then report back, if its good up to 160 then its a cheap std alternative, if its good any higher then win win :D lol. fingers crossed. :D
Probably be around a months time by the time my engines built back in.run in pressure upped and a few miles on it.:agree:

I have fitted a few Quinton Hazell clutches and every one of them has been a new valeo clutch in the box.....they have always been less than a valeo boxed clutch.

Just thought I'd report back, the Volvo 480 1.7turbo transmech clutch is still doing well, 201hp and 200lbsft I think the kit is at about its limit but for a very cheap(around £30) kit its a great everyday clutch fine for track days but perhaps not pod I'll have to report back about pod next year.

That's a cracking bit of info :)

Any links as to where you can buy them as I'd like a spare clutch stashed in the loft. Lol.
