oil level and pressure guage prob

hi folks im new to rtoc spent the last year and 7 months restoring my 5 gtt had it out for a drive for the first last week all good thankfully. now mt prob is that when i switch the ignition on the oil level guage drops to min and its full on dip stick and then the pressure guage when started sits between 5 and 6 is this normal? cheers

On oe gauge ignition on will bring oil level up, it will drop whilst turning the engine over and then it'll read your oil pressure whilst running.

On cold you should see around 4-5 on throttle.3 on idle
When warm it it'll be around 3-4 on throttle and about 2 when idle.

Don't forget that the oe gauge isn't the best at giving you acurate readings.
