Anyone local to Derby got one I can borrow for a day ? I just need to get a GTA to the welder half a mile away .No brakes etc .I have a rigid tow arm but it might damage the bumper .

Welcome to use mine but the distance between us is a little far.
Thanks Mike but again I could buy one cheaper than popping down in the 21 to collect
I want to save and get a proper recovery dolly for when the GTA is done otherwise I'd buy one .Worst case I can use the bar and take it slow .Welder dude has a Land rover so will be able to move .
Any luck finding some ' nicer ' wheels and rubber ??

seeing as lots of you have A-frames maybe you can answer this....
i need to get one of my gtt's from guildford to milton keynes and was looking at borrowing/hiring a trailer but would an A-frame be ok to use on the motorway??
(m25-m1)
Legalling if all 4 wheels are touching the ground the car needs tax, insurance and a MOT

The actual wording is "if any wheels"
Also technically A-frame's are for recovery only, except some some that are able to apply brakes (as seen on alot of motorhomes etc)
But never had a problem using my a-frame up and down the country, even when towing the cup car etc :)

I have a trailer you can use and I am in Haslemere. I got pulled using an A Frame and yes you need an MOT, Tax and the car must be insured.
