Why is scoff's claudi 5 turbo at the top of the leader board:confused:
Im gonna buy a dodge viper drag racing 8 sec engine and put it in my 5! would this still be classed as a renault 5 gtt??

I hardly think a German gearbox constitutes Scoff's car being German? :scratch:
If the Renault unit was strong enough then he would be using that.
The German gearbox allows him to see how much power he can get from that Renault Engine in his Renault 5.

Its a 1/4m RTOC board not just for the R5 GTT so he could fit any engine in that shell and as long as it has a turbo whats the problem?
In my opinion we should be respecting someone that dares to push the boundaries using modern technology an means. If thats what it takes to keep the R5 in the public eye an generate more interest in the club then so be it!

The thing is where do you drop the line?
Technically any 5 thats been modded is not how renault intended so should it be on the leader table?? Uping the boost is not how renault people intended... Glens 5 has efi... thats a collection of bits thats not from a renault.
i dont see the problem, you can select c1j and non c1j, and it clearly says efi on the c1j with efi...........
its a leaderboard of members 5's at the end of the day isnt it?:confused:
BTW rebal, volvo engines ARE Renault!:D
If it upsets you that much just click C1J in the drop down bar at the top.
I feel this is of one the best things about this club. The 1/4 mile table is free info plus if you look at the trap speed vs hp article that scoff wrote it's very helpfull.
Be it C1J/F7P/F4R/b18ft/Z7U/VAG/YB most off these builds have be helped by The RTOC clan with info or parts :agree: and have a right to be there.

:agree: Totally agree this is the Renault Turbo Owners Club:agree:, he owns a Renault, with a renault engine int it and it's a turbo. What you should note with the 1/4 table that it is also broken down non C1J and C1J.

:confused:so what about the reanult 5 gtx that has the 1.7engine which is very simmilar from the volvo 440 engines.so in that case is that not classed as a renault 5 ??to name a few other cars the ford st with the volvo lump inside it 2.5 and even the lotous carlton with a vaxhuall body but a louts design engine and big power from that as well:cool:.end of the day the the guy knows his stuff so let him carry on his good work rigardless of what engine he uses :agree:

& how he or Scoff don't have Renault turbo's is beyond me, they both run Renault engines, in fact Robbie still has a Renault box at the moment :confused:

You can rest assured that don't care about your opinion. Anyone can sit behind a keyboard and type bollox like that in the hope that they might provoke a response.
