Hello folks, ive managed to find a quick sunny slot in between lots of rain to take my gtturbo out for its 1st run since she passed her mot only problem was i only had about 20mins of fun as i had to pick me son up from playschool:crap:

Ive now got a few questions that will be easy for you 5 guru's;)

1, What temperature should i set my fan to kick in? i have an revotec adjustable fan sensor 60- 120 degrees i think.

2, What temperature should the oil be when its safe to give the car some beans, ive got an aftermarket mechanical gauge but after 10mins of driving it barely went over 40degrees, by the time id got her in me shed she was up to 70degrees this was proburly after 20mins of starting her up, is it really that slow to get up to optimum temp.

3, I have a standard BBT rebuilt engine, with Ktec230 turbo, t3 actuator, front mount i/c etc.....,i want to run this at about 18psi at carb base.
At the moment i have what i think is a standard carb that i rebuilt some months ago, unfortunately i didnt take stock of what size jets was in there:ashamed: i have an uego afr gauge already installed.

What parts of the carb do i need to drill/change in order to get good afrs at this boost pressure, could i solder up some of these jets ie the a/c then re drill or is there somewhere i can buy these from. I know im asking alot of questions, im just after what the average person has to do with the mods ive got then i can tweak it;)

Id set the adjustable switch at 88 deg (think original is 88?)

As for carb have a read of this

Afr info - http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=4761

For jetting, start by drilling the 2nd stage jet out to 1.2mm, then drop the air corrector if you need more fuel (i usually start with 1.0 air corrector). Aim for afr's 12.1 or slightly richer (high 11's) on full boost/wot and get something on there to listen for detonation :)

Can i solder the a/c then redrill it?
Any ideas on the oil temp question im not sure if any of you lot run an oil thermostat
