half moon seals.

One is black.

Engine is in place.

As I look at the front of the car , which side does the red one go ?

The half moons should be 2 different sizes one small and one larger and they will only go on one end each and they have a little nipple :cooter: on aswell to get them in correct place

One is thicker than the other, the grooves where they fir are different widths IIRC :)

the red one you have will most likely go the timing chain end.
however.... i bet it will be too thick. some of the red ones are! - try and fit it in the bottom of the timing cover.....

Thanks folks.

In the end I didnt need to fit. Got the car up on ramps and zero oil weeping. It was coming from the turbo -> sump and from the back of the rocker cover. The rocker cover gasket might have well of been made from edam. Oil was all over the back of the engine.
