On the R5 i brought the wiring is battered snapped and pretty much everywhere. Anybody have any advice or diagrams etc , i think can see one wire hanging of the back of a foglight, other than that , its about it.

be warned the fog light wiring is not fused. mine melted right back through the loom when it shorted out.

what size fuses could you splice into the foglight wiring to stop meltdown.?

as there is only 1 light as standard a 5amp will do the trick for a 21w lamp

The are two front fog lights and they're 50 Watts each, rated at 12V I presume.

50 / 12 (Volts) = 4.2 Amps each bulb.

For 13.2 Volts the Amps and Wattage will be a bit higher.

To know for sure how much higher to you need to measure the current at the higher voltage as the resistance of the bulbs wire element will be lower when it's at operating temperature so V=IxR will be inaccurate.

i slapped in a 30amp fuse.

i figured after melting all the front light loom and all the wiring behind the clocks all the way to the big plug behind the ashtray, then there might be enough umph to melt a 30amp fuse if the going got tough....

No you only have to have a rear fog light for your MOT, fronts dont matter
