i have had her few months now just collecting bits. apparantly she is v rare as its a metal dimma kit not a fibreglass copy. need lots of work and love but im taking my time doing it to a decent standard
sourced a set of rh cups on flee bay need a refurb but perfect for the project at the moment.... now with these on it looks alot chunkier.....

Wheels make a massive difference m8 :agree: keep the updates coming :)
I am really anti kit most of the time but I do like the dimma kit on the 5, looking forward to seeing this one finished.
Around ten years ago i used to work with a guy who's mate used to own this five I'm sure, it was a dimma in exactly the same colour and it was on an E plate, she was a girl called pearl from what i remember;)
This was in Oldham, so not to far away from you, from what i remember it was always in bits with something or another wrong with it...........typicle GTT then:wasntme:
Some usless info for you anyway:laugh:
Where abouts on the Wirral are you fella?

im thinking solid white...... grey wheels..... purspex windows half cage and a decent set up c1j with a t2hybrid.... car will only get roled out for the occasional trackdays/shows when finnished, i just wanted one!!!

starting to put her back together.....
found a skeete front bumper for her and new bonnet... offered them all up to see how the bumper looks... I feel it needs some smoothing and some vents removing yet I like the big fogs... reminds me of a maxi turbo old school 5!!
What u think peeps?

its coming along mate:agree:
what i will say is that, imo you need wider wheels to really fill them arches.
will you be sticking to the purple colour or will there be a colour change coming?

its going white i think... just plain artic white no pearl.... rh cups are really wide on 60 mm spacers.... the metal dimma kit is just so wide!!! gona get some hubcentric spacers so will sit lil wider... and wheels goin dark anthricite colour.

solid white would be a good choice on this one! nice, clean and simple.
if it was mine i would also remove the 2 upper bumper vents and the 2 slats on the side. just leaving the fogs and the open mouth at the front. how different is that bumper to the proper Dimma one anyway?
keep up the good work!

thats what im gonna do... smooth it off dumper is quite diff than dimma one dimma is actually smaller.... square fogged and not as low

Getting there mate. I would ditch the bumper tho. You really need to find a dimma kit or a bumper with square fogs. Maybe try a Tarmac bumper as an alternative.
just seen this thread, was this car for sale in yorkshire a couple of years ago?
