port and polish?

i am rebuilding my 5 from ground up and was wondering if t was worth my while porting and polishing my head and if so what sort of thickness to take off ? :confused:

Are you changing the cam?

If you look at getting the head done, i can reccomend Fishhead on this forum ;) works with mike at gt turbo spares, some pictures of work on the website.

Your profile says you have a standard turbo and boost pressure... I'd forget headwork until your running a bigger turbo, better intercooling, tweaked fuelling and more boost. ;)

will be running a T25 alonside a 285 cam

was also wondering wot size to rejet the standard carb to aswell ?

ive got a ep motorsport stage 5 ported polished head and matching polished inlet manifold im selling, i bought it off rob@backyard racing, he skimmed head, relapped valves and fitted new stem seals, i have never fitted it, in fact i havent even unwrapped it since i got it!
