How can you tell the difference between kent valve spring and oe?

oe springs normally have red paint on them.

If not get a set of scales, place the spring in the middle and press down on it, make a note of the weight shown on the scales then repeat with a known oe spring

ooh ooh i know i know, but only because i asked a week ago! lol

piper have one less coil than OE
catcams have 2 less coils than OE

for the record, OE springs have 7 full coils
