View Full Version : Getting my new car tomorrow
I have taken the plunge and got myself a daily driver, its a bit sooner than planned but the gt is just not panning out like i thought it would and its in bits again, hopefully should have the gearbox out this week.
I was going to wait till aug time before buying a car and then tuck up the gt for winter but im really sick of pedalling to work.
I wanted a mk2 focus rs, but im probably loosing my business in a few months so its a bit silly to spend all that cash when i will be out of work very soon. Buying this will leave me a nice nest egg, if it takes a while to find work to.
Anyway i toyed with a civic type r old and new shape as well as a 172 and 197 and even another evo :scared:
I will get some pictures up tomorrow.
A few clues, limited edition only 2000 were made, 2 seats and a lighter version than the standard car, residuals should be really good to.

Me and my friends usually speak about a daily as somthing we can tow with, rally through a field with, put though a hedge and run on just about no income at all. :p:p

What the ones that don't start? Just 500 of those made and a fair few less than that now, will be a future classic but can be had fairly cheaply now which I don't really understand.

Any more clues?
Probably a long shot, Mini Cooper GP? Cant really think of anything else that has two seats apart from something like a 430 Scuderia
Did they do a short run Integra Type R with a rear bench (i.e. no back seat)?

smartcar
well done the guys who said mini gp :)
smart car
I have to say its great, i used to love my old cooper s, they really have a grin factor.
Its done 28000 miles and 3 previous owners.
Had it 1hr and i was already giving it the once over at work, inside is all done, going to clay bar the get my buffer on it tomorrow :)
I really fancy changing the wheels, they are a little bit corroded and in need a proper diamond cut to refurb. Im not that fussed on the 4 spokes tbh, i will keep them because i know how anal people are about changing things on limited cars. So im looking out for a set of 18" original jcw wheels like i had on my old cooper and will fit some non run flats.
Just like these :smokin:

dream car mate
I think the GP wheels are one of the best things about that car Phil.
Ok, let's not go round that one again
Mmmmm... very nice :agree:
That's awesome Phil, I'm very jealous indeed

 funny trev, we dont seem to agree on much mate.
Cheryl Cole or Brittney spears?
Thanks for the nice comments.
I have had all the hair dresser jokes from my mates, in fact i got them with my old coops, did not put me off.
It might end up coming to ND :)
Great looking car, I think I prefer the 5 spoke cooper wheels to the 4 spoke GP ones.
