holiday/airport parking

just wondering how safe airport parking is at manchester.

Me and the other half should be booking a holiday very soon for mexico which was really out of the budget so im trying to cost cut around the edges rather than within the holiday itself. Ive worked out so far that i could save quite a bit by just parking at the airport but since as my cars a chav magnet i was just wondering how secure the parking generally is.

If I had to leave my 5 at an airport for a couple of weeks, I'd be:-

1. Parking it myself.
2. Disabling it so that even with the keys you could not drive it.
3. putting a cover over it to stop sticky fingers and prying eyes.
4. Noteing my mileage.

Got to say, me and the other have parked up a number of times in a Scooby, Cooper S and we are not aware of any miss-doings.
