fuel pump digrams / layout please

i have a renault 5 but am currently swapping the engine to a 172 engine :crap: i am just tryin to find a gtx mount so i can get the engine in,

but in the mean while i am trying to work out the fueling system :ashamed: e.g with the sweirl pot, 2 fuel pumps and alloy tank.

i have never even looked at a fuel pump lol :sad2:

so can sumbody please help me buy sending me some diagrams or a picture of ur layout with an alloy fuel tank and all the other uprated stuff that i will need to buy so the garage can fit them all for me if i cant do it :ashamed:

You prob best of drilling the 5 gtt mount to fit the f4r block as renault don't sell the gtx mount anymore.

Are you running the 172 engine in n/a form?? if so all you need to do is change the GTT pump for a slightly better pump say escort RS turbo bosch type you won't need an 044 it will be overkill, then just a case of bolting that in the same position as the GTT pump and job done:D

If you go turbo just fit an 044 pump or a Walbro 255 same place as above:agree:

ok mate yeh i couldnt find a gtx mount anywere :crap: so all i wud have 2 do is screw the r5 mount with the top bolt then drill new holes for the other 2 bolts ??

so the best think to do is buy a rs turbo fuel pump ? and just fit in the same place as the r5 1 ?

i also wanted all the other parts out ov that pic above ? would i need all them or am i just making it harder for meself as always :) just wanted it look like that in the rear ov me car az all ov the fuel lines are gonna be running threw the car to make it easyer 2 work on in me garden :p

From what I can see it looks like the bottom 2 parts in the pic are fuel filter and Fuel pump and a tiny fuel tank, and not to sure what the top one is might be some kind of pump to return overflowed fuel back to tank. To be honest waste of money, spend it elsewhere:agree: but it does look trick:D

When I did my conversion I used a standard cossie pump, I think Ashy said he use a granada pump so give you a few more options:agree:
