purcahsed a rebuilt bottom end from cgb about 6 weeks ago.. my cars taking longer than expected to get painted etc so at the moment the engines sat at my house.. ive taped up all openings etc and its covered and warm, however im just thinking maybe i should get some oil in it to ensure its all kept free, currently the liners are clamped down, should i turn the engine over by hand or anything, just dont want anything to mess up really.

Dj, if it's been newly rebuilt then all the internals should of been assembled with a lubricant such as graphogen, so aslong as no crap makes it's way in then it should all be good. :agree:

indeed he did say it has all had fresh assembly lube etc in it so should all be sweet. :) cool thanks man, just one of them little worries.

If the liners are clamped down it won't do it any harm turning it over a cycle or 2. If it's covered up I'm more than sure you'll be fine.

thick oil down the bores to protect from rust.
