Anyone ever tried removing the chip from an aei circuit board and trying to read off the programming to see if its possible to remap via eprom burning?

also would anyone donate an aei to the cause?

Once you dig out the potting I doubt there will be anything inside that you'd recognise

my thinking is that most cars of that age where all rom tuned so i'm guessing these do too
