as you may know i have the 1.2rl with the gtt engine in place and im using it daily to run the kids to school and nursery

cars running at 14psi at the mo it was setup by miller for 18psi iirc
oil pressure is at 15psi when warm

now it seams to have got into a habbit of smoking when cruising around at slow speeds off boost *(kids in car )

now this only happens when its warm
also happens when i take my foot off the go pedal and slightly touch it again on m/way cruising speeds

i was thinking turbo but on boost i dont see any blue smoke from rear

ideas up i will check them out :)

Probably turbo if its smoking when its idling/off boost. You should be seeing 45psi oil pressure at 3k rpm on a hot engine

yip it was t turbo lol can u get a rebuild kit for it
all info i have is a copy and paste

Turbo Technics Stage 1 T2 Turbo

Larger compressor impeller with standard exhaust housing, this uprated turbo will allow use of higher boost than standard giving power figures of 130-150BHP on a correctly tuned engine.

refitted the standard t2 what psi is standard ?
and what is its limitations im running it at 12psi for now
and i was wondering what i could turn it up to ?

~10 psi is standard
If the carbs been setup for 18psi, why aren't you running 18? Running at 12 You'll be over fuelling heavily on boost.
With standard intercooling I'd run 15. Better intercooler, turn up to 18.

15psi is the max boost for a standard t2 really :)
