11 turbos are old cars now  all part numbers are/were on microfiche, bet the dealers got rid of them years ago. Last 11 rolled off the production line about 22 year ago didnt it?? bang there goes your ten years parts gaurantee.

With a fair few gtt parts discontinued ill bet you will struggle to get bits for them these days! secondhand is your best bet really unless its a universal part with another model.

Now go to a ford dealer and ask about mk2 escort parts, after that, try a vauxhall dealer and ask about mk1 astra parts......Are you seeing a pattern here?
I don't that Renault are a joke, some newer dealers can be a bit off on parts, but only because they have more modern system that will not list the old classics......

You could always join a dedicated club for this type of car? Oh hang on.....!

My local renault delear is trying to sort out his system, they somehow managed to wipe out everything which is over 10 years old. Not sure if thats the case with the 11. Think it might have been when they sent out the last lot of information.

The mac version will go back to r4, newer mpf (pc based) will be updated and will lose older versions of Dialogys and the older cars.

it was the last set of disc's that wiped the mac and pc based systems... nothing to do with the dealer's it was simply freeing up "unused" data to fill them with new cars... Renault re-use part numbers adter the car has been out of service for over 10 years...
|I still have a full set of micro-fiche but sadly, no micro viewer to sort part numbers out... even then its not straight forward without knowledge of the system..

:agree:seems to be this way now.just a guess but with a r11 being a bit older would most of the parts not come under the old part number starting with 60.......instead of the 77..........the guy in renualt did mention that old numbers will be started to be taken off the system cause so little people come for parts they wont bother with it anymore.saying that you could have a gta v6 turbo :laugh:imange trying to get parts for that.im sure we will be in the same boat soon with the 5s:(.

IDE? Problems?? No never!
They were so short on those at one point, the second lot of 'recon' regs were oven baked to get rid of the supposed silicon deposit problems....

We had to wait nearly 6 months for one before now, renault gave our customer a courteousy car. He'd allready had one fitted by renault that only lasted 2 months. So he came to us to get it a bit cheaper. It lasted less time than the wait for the new one :( i think theres underlying issues there not getting to the bottom of. If you keep them cool they seem to last longer, i think something is causing the duty cycle on them to be higher making them get too hot. Ive not spent time looking in to them really. do you know if they pulse opens the reg or keeps it closed? if the reg has to try to stay closed more(worn pump not producing the pressure) then maybe this is the cause?

As for oven baked??? lol god knows what they have tried, sounds like there getting desperate.
