i have bought an engine off a mate.

Now he dad the head gasket on it around 6 monthe ago but all its done is sat on his garage floor unsed.
Im wanting to fe do the h/g to make sure its done corectly.
Would i be able to re use the gasket as is not been used just put on and torqued up.id chande bolts but dont want tp buy a new gasket f i can use the old one.

You would need to get a new head gasket if you want to remove the head

You will need a new headgasket and new bolts, can't re-use them it's been compressed so the gasket would have been squished and prob sealant of the gasket stuck to the head as been some time now.

You want 12.9 HT bolts about £8 ish and a blue seal gasket which you can get from GSF for about £30
