Managed to fit mine yesterday, i did it in situ and decided to do it at home instead of the unit. It was pretty awkward mainly the 3 nuts on the passenger side from underneath, i had removed the starter motor to get good access but even with this removed they where difficult to get to i left the nuts loose everywhere else so that the manifold could be lifted/tilted to get your hand in to put the nuts on. I'd recommend taking the downpipe and supporting bracket off out of the way.
My manifold to turbo studs werent quite straight either which made it a little more awkward to get the turbo on. I also would reccomend fitting two exhaust gaskets to take up any imperfections between the inlet/exhaust manifold.

Also while your started is off i gave mine a good blast inside with wd40 a few times, my starter had started sticking after a good run. it now turns over much faster and quieter :agree:

Once fitted you will be greeted by a smoother much quieter engine sound, still sounds lovely and not hugely different, the fact that its quieter i think you'll notice more.
Its when you come on boost it sounds incredible more like a superbike higher up the rev range (really is an amazing sound, ill try and get a recording soon)

Off boost performance has been transformed most noticeable in 5th gear when trying to accelerate. I personally wouldnt say its improved my turbo spooling up sooner but its difficult to say ive not driven it too much, but performance boost?? well it never used to spin in second and now it trys to. (i know thats not very factual but its the best i can do after a 30 min drive) The power seems to be much more lineal and not as on off (my turbo is on full boost at about 4000rpm at 19psi) It accelerates through 3rd noticeably faster.

Another strange difference i wasn't expecting, i like to slow down in gear but now the engine braking is alot less and doesnt slow you down like it used to.

All in all :agree::cooter: Absolutely amazing and best modification ive made by far :D:D:D

Also just to add, i removed the starter from the top, but on re-installing i had to put it in through the bottom, i also had to leave my downpipe on unfortunately, maybe with your downpipe off it may go in from the top, but i think more than likely with the tubular manifold on it will have to go from underneath so bear in mind your probably going to need the car up in the air on axle stands. :) Good luck :)

Goood info fella.

The pluses seem good just a shame I'm changing my whole set up so I can fit one of these so won't notice any. :'(

Sounds good tony. I hsd heard that they had meant give a superbike like sound. Am i right in thinking throttle response is much sharper etc. Cant wait do back to back tests with mine.

No don't seem to, i have a car here that has one fitted all it really does is loose the famous 5 burble abit

This car has fairly small sized turbo so its abit hard to tell if response is better, think you may or may not see more of a difference with bigger turbo.

On idle and low load it doesnt sound massively different just a bit quieter and a little more like a constant pulse sound rather than a burble, on boost and high rpm it sounds like a bike, its insane i wish i could record it somehow. it does sound completely different at high rpms.

And yes throttle response is much better.. being used to a big laggy turbo off boost driving was pretty useless. 5th gear acceleration off boost picks up much much better.
