5GTT Phase 1 decals [Archive]

I'm in the process of having ph1 decal reproduced; the proofs i've seen are spot on :). The have the correct fade through with dots and they will come pre-cut.

My original decals was used for the artwork

Cost is looking to be £100 per set, this is a massive saving on the £400 renault prices.

let me know if anyone is interested.

How many sets do you need to get done.... if we could get 10 sets could it be cheaper?

Also when are you looking at doing them?

Hi Chris,
There is no minimum quantity; the £100 is to have one made, I'll ask if he'll provide a discount if we order a quantity.

I'll probably have the one made this week for myself; this will give me a chance to inspect the finished decals.

Does anyone know what colours the Ph1 decals came in? My pearl white has clear/grey decals

the red gtt need a black decal, and the rest was grey,when i am right
and the red gtt have no need red line in the top

here is the phase 1 mate not the best pics i know :ashamed:but its just to show u of a idea like.
i do like the black one with turbo written along side the bottom of it:cool: but im pretty sure it was a aftermarket jobbie??when they rolled outta the factory they didnt have the turbo along side it?i might be wrong?

with turbo was only phase 2

but i see i was wrong the red one have also grey/silver not black , sorry

but the silver one have black ore not ?

Decals are ready, so hoping to pick them up tomorrow. I'll post some pics up when I get them home.

Collected the decals today and they very very good reproduction, I cant tell the difference! They are printed on thin vinyl.

I'm having trouble photographing them, the dot are playing hell with the camera from a distance; and that's using my canon 550d

the guy is able to make any colour, from what i can see there are, black and grey

Does anyone know what color should be the dots in a tungy phase 1?

I have the decals on my left door but it is under the paint!! :sad2:

The repro's don't seem to have the pinstripe at the top (red pinstripe on all colour Ph1's except the Red ph1 which has a black pin stripe).

Looking at the close up of Penfold's silver Ph1 however, it appears the pinstripe is actually a separate item to the rest of the decal. The question is, do you get this pinstripe with the Renault sets?

Dean, is it worth asking these guys to add the stripe at the top?

If not, for those looking to buy these repro's it wouldn't be much to find a red pinstripe and add it in separately I guess :)
