The Club has booked two ARDS rated instructors for National Day
There will be half hour slots available throughout the day for anyone who wants to improve their skills , learn new ones and for novices a chance to get it right from the start .
Steve H and the TAOL team will be running the track side of things this year .There was some discussion about it being a bit slapdash last year so we have handed this over to the professionals :agree: It will also free up CM time for other tasks on the day .
Steve has kindly offered his time and skills FOC :smokin: the Club has paid the instructors .

Cost will be £10 per session and payable on the day , if you are interested then could you please add your name to a RTOC list or PM me and we can start to organise the schedule for the instructors .

Any questions then just shout up .

Professional race instruction is the cheapest and most effective modification available anywhere to your speed and safety on track

Makes sense doesn't it? We all spend hundreds or thousands on making our cars go faster and then don't think about any mods to the nut behind the wheel .

The instructors we've lined up to work at Mallory are both top notch and very experienced guys that I've worked with for a number of years now; a session with them will leave you going quicker and safer than before and at £10 it's very very cheap - this often goes out at £25-35 per session on a commercial trackday.

For any of you that haven't been on track before or maybe just haven't had any tuition, the way it works is that the instructor fearlessly jumps into the passenger seat, watches how you are handling the car and driving round the circuit and gives some pointers on how you could improve. This might be about specific ways to take the racing line or helping you use the car more effectively with techniques that work at all circuits. We book 30 minute slots and you'll probably be out on track for about 20 minutes leaving enough time for a de-brief when you get back in

I'll be there on the day in my own car but as Lee has said I'll be helping to keep the track side of things running smoothly so if anyone needs to know anything or has any problems then please come and find me.

Can only add to the postive things already added, amazing how much you can progress with decent tuition. Even after tracking for years take advantage of it every so often to sharpen so skills, help with certain tracks or just for some feedback on what I am doing.

At the moment I need professional help not driving help LOL :wasntme:

If the car is ready and going well would be interested in taknig a slot but will prob have to leave it nearer the time - never driven this layout of car befroe so def another steep learning cureve to tame

And also £10 is NOTHING for what you will gain

Great work everyone involved :agree:
