I have been having a look at the two turbos today t2 and sx t28 side by side, it looks pretty straight forward. I have rotated the turbo to match the t2, i read somewhere you just swap all the water pipes and oil outlets over with the standard t2 ones.

What else needs done, i know i need to make a down pipe what about the side that run to the intercooler it has a triangular end?

I read gary had problems with the oil feed pipe.

My actuator has 2 outlets, how does this pipe up?

I also need an elbow if anyone has one :)

Phil ignore the rear actuator port and let that just be to air, plumb up the pipes as you have on the orginal volvo T2

Looks like a T25 off the S13 from the piccies, could be wrong though. Does the front of the comp housing unbolt as well as the outlet to intercooler ?

You're going to need to get an adaptor for the compressor oulet - i.e. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Garrett-3-Bolt-Outlet-Adapter-GT28R-T28-Compressor-CNC-/380314211718?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item588c7e5586

phill the only prob i had was with the oil feed but ben at hose solutions can supply you with an adaptor to fit the 200sx t28. you will need one of these.

and poss one of these

the r5 t2 elbow will fit with a bit of bodgery but if youre getting a dp made up then i guess youll get one going straight to the turbo. good luck bud;)

Just seen the pic's that is one weird bodged up actuator setup, personally I would try and use the actuator of the original volvo turbo than that thing.

As Steve says any pics of the compressor housing front?

dose look a bit nutty but the standard actuator isnt really up to much. might be worth looking for another one matey

Ok guys i will get some more pictures up, im sure its the 200sx t28 with the smaller back on it, it has the same numbers as andys was.

Do i have to buy that triangular adapter from the us or anyone sell in the uk?

So gary instead of buying the elbow for the turbo i could just get it all made up with the down pipe when the time comes.

Any idea how much i should pay for a standard elbow should one pop up?

Yes you will need a triangle outlet adaptor. They do come up on the bay from the uk only works out a little cheaper but saves on poss customs charges. The r5s elbows arnt a very good fit so I wouldnt bother buying one and going straight for a complete dp and elbow they do come up on the bay for 20. Big jim can make dp I have tried getting a price but havnt been able to get through for last few days. Have you tried looking at the 200sx elbows on the bay around £50 they can be bolted up to a custom dp.

Phil, that compressor housing looks like a T25 to me, the 200sx T28 has something like an a/r 60 trim

I'm not sure what it is now as it deffo has the .64 exhaust but the front looks like a T25, I did hear that the s13 ran a .64 or the bluebird on some of them.
Should do what you need it to though Phil but I don't think it's as big as an S14 unit, prob runs different trim wheels.

Steve think your spot on with this turbo being of the earlier S13 that ran the T25 with bigger rear's. As Steve says will still be a good upgrade to what you have

so does that mean power would be down compared to a full t28 and how laggy would it be, does it have a large or small rear guys?

I dont know if it means anything but my and I think steves turbo needed an inlet adaptor as in the link. Even if it is a t25 phill it will most prob be slightly less laggy and defo still be a great improvement over the standard t2

will it get me the magic number though? :)

Don't see why not if a t25 can do that on a C1J should be easier to do it on the B18ft, the only downside to bodging these turbo's on is the lack of a decent 360 bearing
