Got slight gearbox oil leak from passenger side driveshaft where it goes into the gearbox. Its the one with the plate and 3 bolts that secure it into gearbox. Is there a sealing ring that goes on it? dont wanna nip bolts upto much and knacker threads in gearbox

theres no sealing lip. it seals by the 3bolt plate sandwiching the gaiter to the gearbox.
id personally drain the gearbox oil and investigate the gaiter and gearbox mating face for dirt/debris etc and re-new as required.
You sure its directly at the gearbox? There is a bearing at the end of the inner rubber boot and the shafts spins inside this while the boot stays in place by the plate an three bolts to gearbox if i remember correctly. Mine was leaking from here and then running down driveshaft, not alot but a little puddle on the subframe after a run and you could smell it really bad. Unfortunatly its gearbox drain time and possibly a new driveshaft mate

im sure its replaceable not new driveshaft but its been along time since ive done one. easiest thing is to check the seal of the gaiter via the plate and 3 bolts. if its not this then its alot more effort :(
