anyone fitted the short shifters from ebay?

as per title who bought them and fitted them? where they okay to fit etc? need to fit mine from ages ago.just wondering what probs people had with them?

the pin that goes into the gearbox needs a fraction of a mm taken off so it sits within the bush on the box otherwise it will pop out and leave you stranded, as i found out.

how did you do that then?

i did it with a dremel and a sanding disc. but if you can get a fraction removed with a lathe do it that way as its alot more precise and it will be removed evenly. but when i fitted the same kit to a pals car we didnt need to remove any metal from it, so it depends on the bush in your gearbox. try to fit it post up your problems and somone will have the answer as many kits have been fitted now.
