A t25 I found for sale has a small hairline crack in exhaust wastegate side.Price is £350 and it was rebuilt a year ago by turbo technics. Its stage 2 apparently and I will buy it if it's easily fixed? Also what causes this? thanks,Luke

Small cracks between the wastegate hole and turbine wont cause any problems.

Ok cheers.Should it have been uprated for this not to happen? If so how much would it cost?

From what i have seen, some turbos have metal bars cast into the exhaust housing to minimise the chances of this occuring? As mentioned above, it doesnt tend to cause any problems. I actually have that turbo unit on my car and bloody hell is it fun to drive with :-)

£350.00 for a second hand T25 is a lot of money IMO. You should be able to get a brand new one for not a great deal more than that!
