Can anyone recall the group buy that was run years ago on boost controllers that no one got? What was the outcome of this as I can't remember? I had bought two of them and can sort of remember getting a solicitors letter about it, but have forgotton what it said or where it is.
Cheers, Shane.

As I recall the bloke kept the money and the goods were never brought so the club took him to court and long story sort he hadn't got the money and he had no job or assets to cover the money so nothing could be done so not many people got there money back if any :(
Didn't some get their money back? Seem to remember a few confronted him face to face and succeeded?
Geezers name was Alf, was lucky not to end up in hospital if you ask me!
Ahhhhh ALF how names come back time and time again

I assume therefore they put him away for a short spell then?

I believe it was small claims court and they had no powers to put him inside for...
But it was a long long time ago....

But it was a long long time ago....
Very long time ago, probably 2004 or there abouts. Sorry to bring it up again, just popped into my head the other day for some reason, and wondered if anything else came of it after the court case.

I must admit, I don't know how these things work.
What I do know is that a little toss bag that ripped a stereo out of my Cavalier SRi many years ago was detained for two weeks because he had no money to pay me the compensation I was awarded (£200).
However, that crime involved the police from the start and it went to what I assume was a criminal court.
It was quite cool actually, the forensic rozzers atteded the scene and found he'd cut himself on the smashed glass left in door frame. They swabbed it and the dumb sh*t was on the police database. They collared and charged him and after a lot of faffing around eventually stuck him inside at Her Majesty's pleasure.
Incidentally, it was after my SRi went to the scrappers a year later that I took out a loan and bought my first GTT (I was 21 at the time). I remember a particular day prior to that when I decided enough was enough and I had to have one. I was in the Cavalier and came round a medium bend pretty quick, dropped it a gear and utterly nailed the heck out of the thing. I was shifting, but then I turned to look out of my drivers window to see my mate (who was following behind me in his modified GTT), smiling and waving as he sailed by effortlessly! Lol. The rest is history. :D
