Temperature Fan Switch 82-68

i have got a fan switch and on it is stamp 82-68 it mean it will cut in at 82 and cut out at 68 or i m wrong ?

ty for the help now is 82 68 good for a gt turbo whit out the thermostat i have not fit it one because i m not running the heater pips
