Subframe removal

Whats the best way to go about this, and what's the best way to refurb it?

Forgot to ad, engines out but all other running gears still in, gearbox driveshafts wheels etc

Is the engine out already? If not would be to drop the whole lot out the bottom then split it up. You can get a engine holder bar or whatever they are called, gets put onto both wings and holds the engine in place whilst you can remove the engine mounts steering column and drop the subframe down but dont know how good they are at holding the engine in place

If its a quick swap of subframe you could leave the engine hanging on a hoist. Does make things a little bit tricky but its doable.

I have one of those support bars that fit on the inner wings but couldnt get away with it for some reason, cant remember exactly why.

Edit - If engine is out just drop the lot!
