View Full Version : bonnet to engine bay seals..?
could someone tell me if the engine bay came with seals on the pink lines in the pics below? my last 2 5's had them there aswell as the other areas that ive highlighted.
im after the orange, yellow and pink if it exsists

As far as i know they only have the seals on the scuttle area. I imagine they would foul the underbonnet heat proofing from new.

just buy some edge trim and do the whole lot, i did and it looks alot tidyer.

The car was never supplied with seals in the Pink area.
Orange = 77 00 762 018 WEATHER STRIP N5
Yellow & Red (Cut the Yellow bits off the long bit for the Red) = 77 00 682 274 RUBBER BONN/SEAL
There is a seal at the leading edge of the bonnet as shown in my engine bay.

somthing like that, measure the width of the item you want to seal first and measure the total length required.

no, theres just one on each side of the car! :D
Thats interesting, as have seen two on one side on a friends car, and had not seen it before. There is a lip to where it gets placed on.
Is that a definate that there is only 1 each side?
Only one next to the batt on all the gtt's ive worked on.
