squeaky steering wheel

ok.. my r5 has always had quite an anoying sound when turning the wheel .. its like a tight squeaking noise, however theres very little play in the coloum, and it still does it when the dash isnt in so its not just rubbing against it.

Any idea.

mine does this but have never been bothered to find out what it is, so ill also be interested to know the answer.
