That depends on whether ur speedo cable is connected, or you know how to wind the clocks back lol, most policies are less than 3k typically...
I'm 21, with Peter James insurance (http://www.peterjamesinsurance.co.uk/), and mine was £450! Very cheap for my age, and the type of car!

Was that with the mods declared? With no mods the quick quote came out at £87 for me.

I went elsewhere in the end, as my renewal was on the 18th March and they wouldn't even amuse me because its over 100% increase. But will be speaking in a few months about a standard car though as I know you can do great deals with those :)

A 300bhp R5? Now that's scary.. I picked up a 380bhp Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo on Saturday and that tries to kill me every time I drive it :D

Well not running the 1.4 engine but lively to say the least :D Nice power in that car, been in a few fast Skylines running around that sort of power surprised how well it goes. Makes me want to change my BMW to an M3 but knowing insurance and petrol will be a killer saying that mines the 2.8 and kills it already :crap: well will sort out couple of months and have 3 cars to insure :wasntme:

Why don't fj cover rollcages?
Why don't fj cover rollcages?
We don't specifically exclude roll cages, we do have some members insured who do have roll cages fitted.
It depends alot of what other modifications have been done to the car and each request will be looked at on a 'case by case' basis.
Do bear in mind that we are a specialist classic broker. If you're looking to cover a stripped out, roll caged, race car with massive increases in bhp then there are other specialists more suited to this.
On classic policies we are very competitive but, like any other broker, can't be all things to all people
I tried to get my 3 on a multi car but no joy with you guys last week .The 21 I was told was not eligible ?? Also they said no heavy mods allowed which excluded the GTA ......
I got a good quote for the GTA from these guys tho .

Used CCI a few times and aways VERRY good price and includes track cover but stopped with them now due to not been covered to drive other cars which I need from time to time
I now use Chris Knott who have been fine
But then I dont pay over £400 per year - Mart taught me to be tight mo fo with money lol
I do miss the £204 per year it was to inisure the vag 5 with all mods declaired inc cage :O
DG
I'll be looking soon as I'm with the AA at the mo, I think the engine swap & rollcage I've added over the last few months will be a no-no with them :wasntme:
So who are the best to go with when using a rollcage & engine swap ?
Im with HIC and they charged me £328 for the year TPFT

Just had my renewal with adrian flux. Classic car policy with 3k lim-milage. No mods on the car, im 30.
£255 fully comp. Went up by £10 from last year.

They dont particular care about the full work into the engine apart from what the engine came from and the power increase of it. Then the basics of interior, suspension, wheels, brakes etc etc.
ive just had a quote from footman james, £122.
i have one question though, it says the car must be garaged between the hours of 10pm to 6am! so if im out in the car inbetween these times will it invalidate my insurance?
im not particularly keen on this restriction.

Hi
No, it just means that when the car is parked at the home address between those hours it must be in a locked garage. If you're out in it or staying overnight elsewhere that's fine.
OK just spoken to HIC, FC, with track cover (non competitive) all mods declared inc engine swap + 100% power increase, roll cage, suspension, agreed value etc..
£695
- track cover + pro NCB £635
Didn't think it was to bad with agreed value & salvage rights etc..
